Metal detector for industrial use

The goal of this project is explore and study the ways of metal detecting and create a metal detector for industrial use. During a project development, the device size and user easy interface were the basic requirement. As a visual device was chosen LCD touch display, which is very important as a user-friendly interface. For math calculations and right function of device will be implemented microcontroller from Atmel corporation. As a data storage will be used a flash memory with 16MB of size. When the device were inventing, a lot of methods were studied and the impulse detect method were chosen which is the most perspective way of metal detecting. Device will communicate with PC trough a USB port. The device will have a battery which allows device to run for a few hours. The prototype of PCB were developed. Few mistakes has been discovered, while the device were constructed, but they were solved successfully.

The goal of this project is explore and study the ways of metal detecting and create a metal detector for industrial use. When the device were inventing, a lot of methods were studied and the impulse detect method were chosen as the most perspective way of metal detecting, thanks to a huge electronics parts possibilities. After experiences with preceding device was necessary to redesign it. Main target of this thesis is to increase the computing power of detector. For this purpose will device need a new microcontroller. Device will communicate with PC trough a USB port. The device will have a battery which allows device to run for a few hours. Processing of measured data will be make even with DFT which will lead to better analyze of mass and type of conductor under device.
PI Metal Detector Using DSP Processing

The subject of Bachelor‘s thesis is design of pulse-induction metal detector. The detector is designed to operate with already-known principle of detection, yet at an innovative concept. In design will be used new technologies and procedures. In the thesis is described design of the general conception and components of the detector. The arguments for utilization separate procedures are discussed, as well as their advantages, eventually general impact of parameters of wiring against final properties of the detector. In design of wiring solution should be considered the following signal processing by DSP. Another subject of this thesis is to apply mentioned theory in practise and create a working sample of metal detector.
Ground Penetrating Metal Detector

This thesis deals with the analysis of solutions of metal detectors. Given that this area is hardly expected giddy discovery, the analysis was carried out primarily with the literature. Next part describes the concept of a metal detector with multiple integration and Lorenz coil. The final part deals with Lorenz coil and functional recovery of metal detector.
Mobile Application for Treasure Hunters

The goal of this bachelor's thesis was the design and implementation of a mobile application for devices with the Android operating system. The application intends to simplify the work of findings documentation for searchers with a metal detector. The goal is also to provide an easier way for further communication with archaeologists about the findings. A request was created to extend the thesis assignment by a web application on meetings with archaeologists. The web application displays the recorded data from the mobile application and simplifies any further communication with the data author. This data is stored in the Firebase Realtime Database. The mobile application implements a map view using the Leaflet library and functions based on user requirements. Java and JavaScript programming languages were used for most of the implementation. The result of my work is composed of two applications working with the shared database.
Metal Detecting Ownership and Non-Ownership Motives

This thesis addresses the phenomenon of hobby metal detecting in the Czech Republic, aiming to determine whether individuals' wealth influences the for- mation of detected finds collections. The mass spread of metal detecting in the Czech Republic since the 1990s has proven the significance of studying this activity. The phenomenon of metal detecting can be classified under contest theory, where agents make costly efforts to compete for a limited resource, which in this case is archaeological finds. From the standpoint of economics, a study about resources allocation, the metal detecting hobby can be an in- triguing topic for investigation. This thesis presents estimates of models based on five different datasets, each containing several thousands of observations obtained from a renowned Czech metal detecting website. The findings sug- gest that relatively wealthier metal detectorists are more likely to submit coins, but not artifacts. Given that coins form a relatively homogeneous group, the estimation results associated with coins might be applied to the formation of finds collections overall. Hence, the collecting of finds is likely to be negatively associated with an individual's socioeconomic status. Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define and compare the use of individual devices used for searching objects under the water based on the study of professional literature.
